Hey Everyone!
Today marks the FIRST day of uploads to this blog. My effort will be to create a record of my journey through college. More specifically my journey to become an Engineer. This will hopefully not only be used as a way to keep track of my interests, but also a resource for other people to look into and contribute. So with that being said, let me do a little introduction.
My name is Alex Kowalewski and I am currently 18 years old. In about 2 days I will be moving into North Carolina State University for their College of Engineering. My plans (as of right now) are to pursue a masters degree in Material Science Engineering (MSE). I developed an interest for MSE during an engineering summer camp my Freshman year of high school. During my Sophomore year I began writing a paper which I would finish my Senior year about the benefits of early STEM education. That last point could be an entirely separate blog post (that's a good idea for next time!). In my junior year of high school I joined my schools bridge building team which gave me an inside look on the creation of blueprints and other applications of math in the real world. My senior year I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout which required dedication for learning and leadership building experience. That's some information about who I am!
There's a lot more to say, but I can save that for another time!
